There are so many fun things to do! Many of them are listed under the Family Fun pages: Things to Do and Day Trips.

General Fun: Year-round, the City offers day camps, sleep-over camps, and classes to both children and adults. ABQ also has non-profit and profit forms of entertainment, including: live theater venues, live music venues, speakers, performers, movie theaters, amusement parks, putt-putt golf, libraries, city parks, and skate parks. Our children are also able to take a plethora of classes in the arts, acting, languages, music, education, etc. Our association lists only the businesses that support us. Even though there are a number of fine businesses specializing in entertainment and instruction, we do not have a relationship with them, so we do not list them on our site. To find them, check New Mexico Kids! or do an internet search!

Fun Things for Kids

Athletics and Physical Recreation: There are a number of venues that offer athletic classes, team, and individual participation. The City has facilities and programs for baseball, football, rock climbing, swimming, track, skiing, and snowboarding--to name a few.

Swimming: The City's indoor swimming pools are open year round. The closest city pool is Los Altos, it is less than 5 minutes from our homes. If you want a more aquatic park environment, check out West Mesa Aquatic Center. It's about half-an-hour from our homes, but it has both indoor and outdoor pools, a kiddy play area, slides, and diving!

Summer Swimming: In the summer, kids can cool off at the splash park. It's about 5 minutes from our neighborhood! West Mesa Aquatic Center also opens its outdoor pool in the summer!
